T:question about disruptive behavior	Q:Hi, I haven't posted here in a while but my fathers alzheimers is getting worse. I don't know what to do. For the last <time_period> he has not slept hardly at all during the night at the <institution>. He hollers and screams at the top of his lungs and he can't be still. He has fell once and hurt his hand real bad but he didn't break it. They have had to restrain him in his chair in the daytime. I don't mind it because I don't want him to hurt himself. We have had all kind of tests done and there is nothing physical wrong with him. There has been talk of sending him to a <institution> because of his disruptive behavior. He keeps every one else upset when he hollers all the time. He can't take alot of medicine. It upsets him even worse. They have tried alot of medicine that he can take and nothing seems to work. What happens at the <institution> and how long do they have to stay? I don't want him to go but I may not have a choice. I see their point. Thanks	A:I talked to Daddy's <professional_practitioner> and the <institution> today. They said that there may not be anything that they can do for Daddy. They have tried about everything. The <institution> said that they have had patients that just hollered up untill they died. It is so sad. They did not recommend that he be sent out for the phyc. evaluation right now. As long as he doesn't try to hit anyone they won't kick him out, which eases my mind. I wished that I could take care of Daddy at home, but I can't lift him and I know that I can't do it. Thanks for listening.

A:I'm so sorry for the trouble you are having with your dad. My dad is in an earlier stage of Alzheimer's. I wish that I could say something to help. Best of luck to you all. <name>

A:Thank you for replying <name>. They had to try <medicine> on Daddy to keep him calm. His first day is going pretty well so far. It seems like he's either going to doped up or screaming. A lose lose situation.

A:I am glad to hear that the <medicine> is helping. Hang in there.
