T:<medicine> and not happy with the outcome
Q:Just started my mom on this drug, (<medicine>).
I'm not happy at all with the outcome so far.
I'm thinking about taking her off before its too late.
She is acting way way worse than before she started.
I didn't think she had much wrong and then I took her to the <professional_practitioner> and he says shes Demented and puts her on this stuff.
I know my mom pretty well and shes always been the way she is just a little worse with age.
This stuff is making her like she has Dementia.
I am curious if anyone else has had this problem.
 Please help.
A:Yes, they put my Mom on somthing similar -- it created delusional thoughts, crazy dreams.
She was telling us that she had a bed mate, but she was okay with it and that she had bought a car for our Dad (he passed <time_period> ago) and that she wasn't sure how to get it up to where she was in the mountains.
So she went from living in the moment and forgetting things to downright delusional.
We took her off it right away.
And, as a side note, I wouldn't email the person in the other post, or even get the link.
 I think it's a spammer.

A:Hello .
My Mother was on <medicine> for close to <time_period> but was taken off of it shortly after going into a <institution> - for Dimentia and Parkinsons.
 There explanation was .
<medicine> usually works well for people in the earliest stages of Dimentia - but not in the later stages.
The explanation was by an RN that was on staff.
Hope this is of some help.

A:My mom is on <num> mg of <medicine> twice daily and <medicine> <num> mg in morning and <num> mg at bedtime.
It was my understanding that the <medicine> is earlier in treatment and <medicine> is for more severe dementia; but .
together they work as a combined therapeutic dose for dementia if caught early enough.
It actually has been helping my mother.
Before she was put on it, she was asking the same questions over and over again in a very short period of time and wasn't able to retain anything.
 That was <time_period> ago.
Now, her dementia was really better than it was <time_period> ago.
Unfortunately, my father's passing in <month>, is causing more stress and her symptoms are worse.
 We hope this is temporarily.

A:My H was on <medicine> along with the <medicine> Patch for <time_period>.
I believe they have run their course and took him off at Thanksgiving.
See no difference in personality/behaviors as a result; normal decline for the stage.
He is middle stage of <num>.
Have appt with our <professional_practitioner> in <time_period>.

A:I was told the same thing about <medicine> & <medicine> working hand in hand.
My partner has been on them for about <time_period> now but I see no change.
I belong to a support group that I go to at the <institution>, here in <location>, and was told <time_period> ago that <institution> will not be making <medicine> in <num> or <num> mg anymore after <date>.
I will be asking the <professional_practitioner>.
about this when we go in <month>.
There could possibly be a replacement or they will make it in a different dosage.

A:My mom has been on <medicine> alone for <time_period> now.
He <professional_practitioner> thought it was useless by now so I should take her off.
I started with decreasing the evening dose so by half.
She couldn't get into a car or know what i want her to do so either the drug is working some or that she's addicted to it by now and going off just makes her worse.
We seem to be stuck now.

A:To my understanding, they are going to combine the <medicine> & <medicine> in one pill and it will be taken once daily.
 They are calling it <medicine>.
For more you can go to:

A:I hope not.
I thought it's just <medicine> but taken once a day.
<medicine> interfered with my mom's PD medication and she was very weak.

A:I mis-spoke.
Thee <medicine> & <medicine> are not going to be combined.
(This is according to our <professional_practitioner> at the <institution> .
We will now be taking the <medicine> once a day & he upped the <medicine> to <num> MG a day.
